"Price per night advertised at Cad$79 but were informed the night before new year thatthe price would be increased to CAD$129.00. This is false advertising. After we had been guaranteed the rate of CAD$79.00 per night, the hotel staff tried to increase the price in the middle of our stay. They had not checked the internet booking to identify the specific requests we had made.
The staff indicated that they operated as Holiday Inn Astoria and as such were not bound by the Holiday Inn protocol. In fact, the front desk manager was very rude. It is a shame that Holiday Inn Fort Richmond would behave in this manner. It is regretable that for a Hotel Chain such as the Holiday Inn, with a World wide reputation, would fall so low to treat customers in this fashion. In fact, this is very un-Canadian for this type of behavior. I will never recommend Holiday Inn Ft Richmond to anyone.

This location is also half a mile north of the south Perimeter Highway, three miles from the Saint Vital Shopping Centre, and five miles from the Forks.
